Home Sales and Price on the Rise

Home sales and prices across the nation are finally on the rise. At the Lake of the Ozarks we have certainly seen the rise in sales. Here at RE/MAX Lake of the Ozarks is we are showing an average increase in sales of approximately 29%. However, a rise in prices has not been near as strong. While price have not been falling for some time now, it is hard to say that they are truly increasing. Short sales and foreclosures, while they were limited in our area, have certainly taken their toll on home prices. On a positive note for prices, our inventory has started to show a decrease. This is positive because less inventory usually drives prices up. We are all hopeful and thankful for this improving economy and housing market, and ready for the improvements ahead of us!
